Architectural Control

— IMPORTANT —

  • Any change that affects the exterior of a property (including structures and landscape) must be approved in advance.
  • Following the guidelines does not eliminate the need to submit requests for PRIOR approval.
  • No installation or commencement of any work is permitted until approval is obtained.
  • Approval from the Association does not constitute approval from a Sub-Association. Before submitting to the Association, in most situations, you must first receive permission from your Sub-Association (if any).
  • Any modification not specifically approved in writing will be required to be modified or removed at the Property Owner’s expense, and a fine may be assessed.
  • Sub-Associations seeking approval for projects to their own common areas or buildings shall meet with the Executive Director to determine submittal requirements.

The primary responsibility of the Architectural Control Committee (“ACC”) is to ensure community compliance with the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (“CC&Rs”) of the Ranch.  The committee is comprised of member volunteers who reside in McCormick Ranch, and a current board member.  The Rules and Regulations provide the interpretive guidelines and explanation of the CC&Rs. Desired changes that affect the exterior of your property, must go through an approval process prior to your project commencement.

Pre-Approved Paint Schemes:
With each “body” color, you are offered two “trim” color options. Please note that any other desired combination of the paint shades shown must go through the approval process. Submission of a Paint Application applies to all color applications on the exterior of your property, including those colors from the pre-approved color palette. Paint samples of colors from the Association’s pre-approved color palette do not need to be submitted for approval as long as your use the exact paint scheme and brand. A Paint Application Form must still be filled out and filed with the Association before painting commences.

Appeals:
If your request has been denied, you have the opportunity to appeal the denial to the Board of Directors. The MRPOA ACC Appeal Policy describes the process. Please use the Appeal Form to submit your appeal.
