MRPOA OVER-SEEDING INFORMATION FOR 2024
Are homeowners required to overseed?
NO. However, all yards, including during any dormant period, must be maintained to be neat, weed-free, and attractive.
Are HOA common areas required to be overseeded?
HOA Boards/Management Companies MUST submit a Landscape Application to the MRPOA Association and receive permission before foregoing overseeding in a given year. Restrictions do apply.
MRPOA Over-seeding Schedule 2024
Over-seeding
Work will begin the week of September 16th. Overseeding includes:
– Scalping
– Turf vacuuming
– Turf aeration
– Seed application
– Increased initial irrigation schedule
Over-seeding Irrigation Schedule
Increased irrigation times will begin the week of October 7th. Irrigation times will be from 5 AM to 8 PM daily for the first month after the seed is spread. Breaks in the irrigation schedule will be provided for walking and biking on multi-use paths as available. Once the rye grass is established, the irrigation schedule will shift to nighttime watering only.
Signs will be posted notifying pedestrians of the increased irrigation schedule. Newly overseeded turf needs consistent moisture to encourage deep, healthy roots.
The irrigation schedules for the 2024 overseeding are posted below, starting October 14th. Please consider this watering schedule when using the greenbelt. This schedule will remain in effect through November 10th.
